Let’s Talk Qualifying Buyers

If you receive a few offers on a property, which one should you choose?

While price and terms are important, it’s also critical to ask the right questions to determine how likely a buyer is to close on the property.

A good broker will ask some qualifying questions such as

  • Why are you buying this property?
  • If this sale fell through, do you have an alternative option?
  • Is this sale contingent upon something we haven’t discussed?

Even a good broker can completely miss on the mark on who is most likely to close, but it’s important to do the due diligence!

The goal is for the seller to be presented with as much information as possible when making a decision.
